  1. I recently picked up a set of the Rubber Weasel tracks with the modification kit required to run the Rubber tracks on the Weasel. I have a question for anyone who might know. In Byron’s Rubber Track Manual in this Forum the picture of the “Track guide wheels” or “Roller, track support” appears that the rubber has been removed from the wheels. My question is it okay to remove the rubber from the Roller,Track support? thanks, Ernie
  2. Are the rubber tracks themselves from a different application for example mini excavator, or are they purpose made for this Weasel kit? thanks, Ernie
  3. This was posted by the Donner Historical Society recently of the Weasels bringing aide to the snow trapped passenger train on Donner Summit in the Sierra Nevada mountains in 1952.
  4. WTB Right side steering brake lever, B in diagram. Thanks, Ernie
  5. Great! I'm a couple short. Thanks for the heads up.
  6. Good point Patrick! I plan on Running it on snow in the Sierra Nevada. The trailhead to the Tahoe National Forest is a block away. My house is about a mile from where the Donner Family spent the winter of 1846! I noticed they have oil cups on my M29 so maybe I'd be better off adding oil cups in colder climates.
  7. IMG_6963.MOV Finally started on the T24. So far the engine turns freely but the Brake and Transmission linkage does not. With no provisions to lubricate the Tube/shaft of the controls it was rusted solid after sitting in a field for 30+ years. I got everything busted apart and cleaned up. Thinking of adding some zerk fittings to allow a way to lubricate.
  8. Hello, Is there anyone reproducing Weasel fuel tanks? I'm in need of one for my M29C and T24. Thanks, Ernie
  9. Here are the data plates on the two Weasels I just picked up. The one data plate was painted over and I'll have to do a little cleaning.
  10. Hi Patrick, Yes I will take photos today and post them. I posted the early one last year sometime it's number T-24-20. I bought the T24 from a friend last year and finally brought it home this week. These are the first Weasels I've ever owned, I've owned WWII vehicles for many years but this is my first tracked WWII vehicle.
  11. I just picked up an two Weasels, one T24 with 15” tracks and one M29 with 20” tracks. The M29 is driving. Looking forward to getting these operational!
  12. Hello, I'm new to the forum and new to Weasels. I just bought this M29. The data plate behind the drivers seat was painted over so I will need to carefully try to remove the paint.
