  1. At least you can get to it. Mine was in the vehicle already.
  2. At the very front of the oil gallery bore is a threaded plug. It is behind the camshaft gear inside the gear cover. If that’s missing you’ll have that exact problem. Don’t ask me how I know. 😬
  3. There are companies across the country that will re-rubber them for you. Search for polyurethane wheels.
  4. In cedar lake Indiana. It’s going to the scrapper shortly. Hull has hardly any rust.
  5. I’ve used Continental for many years. They have no problem with tracked vehicles. Your State Farm agent probably got a good chewing out for insuring that.
  6. The only suggestion I would have is to make the spacer in two pieces that can be installed with out removing the track.
  7. Keeping all the steering linkage well oiled makes a huge difference in the amount of effort required to steer. The type of driving surface makes a huge difference also. The machine was designed to drive on the top of snow where it comes alive like a graceful wild animal. Hard surfaces and grass not so good.
  8. Definitely take the canvas off. The windshield should be fine if left in the up position. The loading in the above photos looks good. I think I would use chains instead of straps. Not sure if the winch cable on the front is even legal.
  9. Someone should jump on that. Its a great project. I tried to plan the trip from near Chicago to Long Beach to get it, but I’m getting too old and beat up to drive that far.
  10. Keep your old hull. You can lay it on it’s side, then bolt the tanks to it while your rebuilding them.
  11. Cleaning out the garage today and found these parts. Muffler guard. Pioneer tool brackets. Headlight conduit. $200 plus shipping.
  12. https://www.ebay.com/itm/165290751592?hash=item267c18b668:g:EAIAAMXQIBBRBaod Price of steel is crazy. I think I paid half that for my set from him 10 years ago.
  13. There was a guy selling new sprockets on ebay. I had a couple of his sets. They are nice.
  14. It should lift out. Maybe its rusted to the studs.
  15. I gave most of it away, and scrapped the rest. Ive still got some chassis parts, a NOS exhaust manifold, NOS pistons, oil filter, regulator.
  16. Wrap them with enough Teflon tape or rope to fill the void and compress tightly.
  17. The first is a starter drive gear. Looks like one for a weasel, but you would have to compare to make sure. The second is a tape measure. Oops, sorry. Looks like rivets. Maybe track rivets. I dont think track rivets are countersunk though.
