aktrapperbrad
So, I picked up 2 more part's weasels to add to my collection. They are in rough shape but worth it for the tracks that are there. The one with the hull appeared to have a 114 track conversion, but on closer look they are from something else. A 114 has 16.5 inch tracks and these are 18 inch, also the grousers are different along with how the track pads are attached to the belting. If anyone has an idea what these came from, please let me know. The other set of original tracks have been worked on at one time and look like they will last for a while if not used too hard. The engine that came with, unfortunately was missing 1 sparkplug and is locked up except for a little play so will need to be totally tore down to see if it is salvageable. On the good side there appears to only be oil in the pan. here are a few more pics of them along with the extra parts that came with. thanks for looking, Brad
Patrick Tipton
Cool Brad! Lots of good parts in there. No idea about those tracks....almost look like dozer sprockets.... Regards, Patrick
Jim Gilmore
These appear to be French replacement tracks. Note the weasel in the photo has wheels like the return rollers on the red one. Can you post a photo of the rebuild tag on the motor on the yellow one? Jim Gilmore Jim Thorpe, PA jgilmore@ptd.net
aktrapperbrad
@Jim GilmoreI tried to get a pic but none came out readable so here is what it said "Rebuilt by MT. RAINEIR ORD DEPOT Tacoma Mains Rod Cylinder STD STD 020 Date 1-55 The casting date under the tag is 4-18-45. Just 3 weeks before VE day. The engine # is T24 I4406 Here is a pic of the same tag from the M29C I picked up last year
Jim Gilmore
Thanks much.....especially for the motor number. That number would put the serial/ORD number between 135?? to 136?? ( ? = unknown number ) Jim Gilmore Jim Thorpe, PA jgilmore@ptd.net
