Reamer Posted November 25 Posted November 25 There are 4 lugs on the solenoid, two large and two small screw fittings. If a clamp the jump pack to the large lug Next to the block, and use a jumper to touch either small lugs it will spin but the gear will not swing out. My objective is to mount it on the block and just get it to spin the engine to do a compression test. How do I wire it correctly? (without the "dash board" and key start)... Thanks Quote
F-D Zernia Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Looking at the solenoid from the back. The battery power goes to the big lug on the solenoid right side. The two small screws are the trigger and a ground for the solenoid. The small screw on the right goes to the switch. The screw on the left goes to ground. Of course the starter body would be grounded through the block. That should make it work. Fred 1 Quote
