Well, I got the one missing front stretcher bracket off ebay!! Yay!
I still need the rear left and right stretcher brackets.
Thanks!

That was perfect. Those answer all the questions. Perfect and thank you for making the effort to post the pictures!!!
Now I need straps and that nice sending unit with pickup tube!
I have the drain tube, I will have to see if I have the plug or if it is rusted and gone.
My fuel tank has the extra hole for the electric pump. I will have to plug that big hole if I'm going original with the pickup in the sender.
Great and thanks!

Excellent picture! Thank you. I see now that I'm missing the original fuel filter.
The drain lines run from the filter and the tank to that tube on the side of the hull. Is there a plug under the hull at that spot?
How about correct gas tank strap install?
Thanks much!

Well, I dont have any floater parts yet. If I do find them, then yes, I'm in for a trade! What is the difference between the 2 styles?
Thanks

Has anyone tried just using WWII jeep wire arms and blades? I am just wondering if the would fit on the shaft, and be approx. the correct length (I think weasel is 10" where jeep is 9 or 9.5?)

No trailer socket, but it may have, the original condition was 30 years ago, and went through 3 different owners before I could get it back.
thanks,

thank you! The "nipple" next to the rearward hole appears to be cut off. What should the nipple look like? should it have a petcock on it, or a plug? I would assume it is a drain.
thanks,

Hi,
I need help figuring out several holes on side of tank. I need to know if they are good or were accidents before I fill them in.
1 on left rear side above what appears to be a cut off drain pipe?
1 on front right. Clean hole, looks like maybe something was soldered there and was broken off.
Also 4 rivets appear to not be doing well on bottom of tank where maybe the electric pump mount would be? Any sug6on repair? I can weld and I'm not using an electric pump. I like my original mechanical pump.
Thanks!

Great! Do you know where to get that rear stretcher bar?
I will send a picture of my radiator lid next, maybe help me identify if it is floater or not.
thanks!

Oh goodie. thank you! Can you tell me if I need it if I build a floater? or is it just for use with the non-floater?
Also, what is that welded thing that is almost a hack job weld on the side, by the antenna and muffler shroud for? I saw one weasel with a rod in it.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi!
I have bought my dads old weasel we had 30 years ago. It originally was from Norway. (had Norwegian tracks and data plates)
It had a rear mounted fuel tank that was removed.
the guy I bought it from bought an NOS tank from Murray years ago.
I have a filler neck, and a fuel sender (sender is really really bad)
I need a good sender with a pickup tube, or a sender without, and a larger hole fuel pickup.
I think the tank was designed for an electric pump, however, I want to use my original mechanical pump, as it works perfectly.
I could take a junk electric unit and modify for a pickup tube?
I also need the gas tank straps.
I would like to know the correct fuel line routing, as the current setup is a fuel line running into the radiator opening, which stops at that point. How does it go from there to the pickup? do I need a hull mounted fuel filter?
Thanks,
Dave

Hi! I am wondering if the weasels had a steel first aid kit like the jeeps, and if so, where does it originally mount?
thanks!

1K sounds great for winter top! Too great!
OMG! I must have been out of the game to long, yes, everything goes up. (except it seems the value of the vehicle itself) 🙂
thanks!

Hi,
I am looking for a set of floatation tanks and swim skirts for my weasel. I can weld and fabricate, so I don't need perfect. Let me know what you have. I am not afraid to ship, so distance isn't an issue.
Thanks,
dave

Your weasel restoration is amazing. Thank you so much for the great pictures and taking so much time to document the work. I'm sure you have saved and will save weasel owners lots of time and frustration.
