@darth_kitten What a fabulous thread to follow. Well done and BZ to your efforts👍👍 I can honestly appreciate the amount of time consuming and tedious work that is involved in bringing a weasel back to life. Could I ask one question? Did you record how many shims were behind the bogey arms as shown in the attached photo? I need a reference point to adjust my bogey arm shims as mine are not quite right.
Thanks!
There was only one shim behind each arm. All the same thickness.

Removing all the running gear.
I fabricated a rotisserie to facilitate flipping the hull.

Moved the tub to my home garage so I could get started repairing all the rust on October 1st 2023. Now the work can begin in earnest.
Someone "repaired" the hull by reskinning over the rust. All of that will need to be removed.
The curved box end wrench made removing the differential pretty easy.

Restoration thread for M29C-5752. First goal is to bring it back to life, and maybe make it a floater some day.

Thanks Patrick, my problem is the that this area is completely split at this point. I have the upper holes lined up, but need to a lower reference as well. I can use the measurement from the first spring mount to the front axle if needed.

Hoping someone might have this dimension handy or a hull they can measure. Thanks to 5280Beltfed for sharing the drawing on this site.
Since the dimension isn't directly called out, I tried to extrapolate it using the other dimensions in the drawing and came up with 3.875", but that seems to large to me.
Can someone confirm, or correct?
Thanks!

There aren't a ton of options for track repair. There are a few good threads on here with conveyor belt replacements.

The OEM cam gear is a phenolic (or some other composite) that could disintegrate. The aluminum is an improvement of that.

Studebaker has the drawings available from the museum. They were a couple hundred dollars if I remember correctly.

Agreed @Jesse Browning I am busting at the seams with Weasels right now or I might do it!
If you're passing through STL, you gotta stop~!

Let me check out my spare control cluster to see if I have a viable lever, and also how easy it will be to remove...

Replaced the cut out transmission support with one that was included with the hulk I bought from Patrick a year ago, and added most of another patch. Ran out of shielding gas, so hopefully the supply place is open tomorrow.
