what is this part/bracket? Stretcher?

Hi,

  I wonder what this is for?  Is this the part that mounts on the rear of the weasel, by the taillight? over and across to the muffler shroud?

That is the radiator door opening mechanism.

Oh goodie.  thank you!  Can you tell me if I need it if I build a floater?  or is it just for use with the non-floater?

Also, what is that welded thing that is almost a hack job weld on the side, by the antenna and muffler shroud for?  I saw one weasel with a rod in it.

Yes....the doors are different between the M29 and M29C, but yes!  It goes between the two panels to which the radiator is mounted.

That is a stretcher mount.  I know the Norwegians modified lots of Weasels, but there may have been US brackets too...I am better at this point on the early Weasels 😉

Great!  Do you know where to get that rear stretcher bar?

 

I will send a picture of my radiator lid next, maybe help me identify if it is floater or not.

Non-floater - very hard to find in nice shape.  If you want to trade for a nearly mint floater....I have one!

Well, I dont have any floater parts yet. If I do find them, then yes, I'm in for a trade! What is the difference between the 2 styles?
