Well the engine is coming together. Crank and cam are in. I have a new aluminum timing gear per OZ’s suggestion a while back. Assembly went well. I have new rods and pistons and am having difficulty “clocking” the wrist pins in the rods so the notch lines up for the locking pin. The fit in the rod is snug and I can’t find a way to twist the wrist pin. Is there a trick I am missing? Also the new pistons have some kind of cut on one side. Is there a preferred orientation for the cut relative to facing forward or aft?
