  2. Our Weasel Data!! Due to missing, and broken and such, I can offer the following. 1st Type UST-24 2nd USA number ???? missing plate. Have one, but it lists this Weasel to be a M29C (fake data plate, confirmed fake) 3rd Ord number ???? same missing plate. 4th Body ---- This tag is broken, only 3/4 inch of the left side remains and 1/2 inch on right side. However the letter "U" is on the left hand piece. Which leads me to the Type of UST-24. 5th DoD ???? missing plate. 6th Engine ???? It's a Ford straight 6 replacement. 7th Trans ???? It's a Ford Automatic. Has a trick looking Hurst shifter mounted to the instrument panel. 8th Arn number ???? 9th Other number ???? nothing real that would help has been found so far.. Other info - Has a complete Rebuilt tag.... REBUILT-LETTERKENNY ORDNANCE DEP next line LATE - MAY 1954 Minors - Has the double 9 bolt setup on each side for Airborne plates to be added and skirts on each side. Missing - Almost everything Military. Does have roll bars front and rear. From the ski resort it spent several years at. But it's now safe, not sitting in the open like it has been for the last 10 years. Last time running also. And it belongs to my Wife and I and we "hope" that I can rebuild/restore it over the next 2 or 3 years. Your help and guidance as to where to find parts in the central Florida area would be Great. Sorry about the lack of true data that I can give about this Weasel, but what more can I say. Thanks to all that submitted their data. Stay Safe Everyone. Later 42rocker and Wife

  5. Patrick Thank You for updates and info. Looks like mine is an early M29 from our talk. Thanks for info. Stay Safe Everyone. Later 42rocker
  6. Update to my above post. After a Great talk with Patrick, it looks like we have a early M29 Weasel. Has the Airborne bolt set up and several other items that point to an early M29. (update 09/08/2021) Change that to a T24. Why? Found on the remaining 3/4 inch of the left side body tag the letter "U", which should mean UST-24. Thanks Again Patrick. Stay Safe Everyone. 7. Just got into Weasels. My Father was in Sherman Tanks during WW2. Well, a Sherman Tank is not in the budget at this time. So a nice tracked Weasel project shall do. Jumped right in and bought one. Good Bad or whatever. My Wife and I got it home and think that we are looking at a 2 or 3 year project. Hope to learn a lot of basic skills of the way. Broken Track and lots and lots of rust and changed parts etc. Was told that it was an M29C. I'm thinking more or an early T24, right now. A real data plate or two would be nice. One in back compartment is broken. One normally in front of driver, is replaced with what I believe is an incorrect repop data plate. Do have a re-build 1954 data plate. Pics will be coming, later. Was told it was running 10 years ago before they started to restore it. From what I can tell French style tracks, which are broken and rusted, etc. Engine and transmission were changed out to a Ford engine and auto transmission. Have a nice Hurst shifter on my type 3 or 4 Instrument panel. I'm told that before last owner it was used at a ski resort. Lots of interesting stories. Looking for facts. Stay Safe Everyone. 8. Everyone has done an outstanding job of the sharing of information in this topic. Patrick, you have been doing an outstanding re-build. Thanks for sharing everything. Can't wait to see the end if your project. Stay Safe Everyone. Later 42rocker
  9. Have an interest. Sending you a text message about it. Hope we can work something out. Stay Safe Everyone. Later 42rocker Also if side skirts are the angled pieces at the bottom of the sides then mine has them also. Mine also has the 4 sets of 6 bolts at the top of the sides. However my "side skirts" are not made of as many pieces as shown in the picture. My Weasel does not have the original data plates either. I texted you a picture of the rebuild data plate several days ago.
