  1. Fellows, this is going to be a picture heavy blog from me with regard to how I rebuilt my front float tank. I hope that you will gleen some ideas from my experience when it comes to rebuilding your tanks. Cheers.
  2. @Pips_Blaauw The weasel float tanks are an engineering marvel. Having the drawings would be a real asset however my best advice would be to persevere and try to find a set of tanks no matter what their condition or where they are in the world. The photo below shows what the bottom of my front tank looked like when I got it. If Patrick @Patrick Tiptonhad a sticky page or some such I would happily post all of my float tank repair photos for you to look at. There are other forum members who would also add to this sticky page with their own float tank experiences.
  3. I have fitted my new John and Mary Worthing Canvasco UK seat back covers complimented by my NOS seat cushions that I purchased back in 2002. Unfortunately I could not fit the new Canvasco seat covers to the nos wire sprung seat cushion as they have been made to fit a parallel seat top whereas my Nos seat bases tapers front (high side) to the rear (low side). The colour of the new and nos canvas is close so I will leave them in place for the time being. I have also fitted my seat belts. Not OEM but they look the part.
  4. @42rocker Don't get me wrong, the VWOM wiring harness is an excellent product and apart from that one small typo, it was a straight forward task to install the wiring. There is no way that I would install a NOS harness. I initially went down that path and when I started to unravel the harness I could see and hear the old harness insulation cracking. A couple of happy snaps of my VWOM harness are attached
  5. @Beepbeep Your sprocket teeth look decidedly worn. I have got a drawing somewhere at home that shows the correct tooth profile but as a comparison, attached is a photo of my LAR sprockets and you can see the difference in the teeth when compared to yours. Unfortunately LAR don't make this sprocket any more.
