  1. Someone should jump on that. Its a great project. I tried to plan the trip from near Chicago to Long Beach to get it, but I’m getting too old and beat up to drive that far.
  2. Keep your old hull. You can lay it on it’s side, then bolt the tanks to it while your rebuilding them.
  3. Cleaning out the garage today and found these parts. Muffler guard. Pioneer tool brackets. Headlight conduit. $200 plus shipping.
  4. https://www.ebay.com/itm/165290751592?hash=item267c18b668:g:EAIAAMXQIBBRBaod Price of steel is crazy. I think I paid half that for my set from him 10 years ago.
  5. There was a guy selling new sprockets on ebay. I had a couple of his sets. They are nice.
  6. It should lift out. Maybe its rusted to the studs.
  7. I gave most of it away, and scrapped the rest. Ive still got some chassis parts, a NOS exhaust manifold, NOS pistons, oil filter, regulator.
  8. Wrap them with enough Teflon tape or rope to fill the void and compress tightly.
  9. The first is a starter drive gear. Looks like one for a weasel, but you would have to compare to make sure. The second is a tape measure. Oops, sorry. Looks like rivets. Maybe track rivets. I dont think track rivets are countersunk though.
  10. I dont know of any drawing. Perhaps others on this forum may know. Any of the floater parts are extremely hard to find.
  11. My policy for a vehicle going to be restored is to completely dismantle everything and rebuild it as new. This eliminates all those nasty surprises. I never try to “get it running” beforehand. Most of the time that just does more damage.
  12. Ive bought sprockets from the guy in California and had no issues with them. That will probably help your problem. Your tracks have probably stretched beyond the range of the tensioner. You’ve got a great project to start with.
  13. I have one set of side shields left. No more rudders or surf shields. All the rest of the parts are gone.
  14. Front and rear springs on M29C are heavier, probably to keep it from rocking so much.
  15. Looks like the particle board you can get from Home Depot.
