  1. The parts you are missing are very difficult to find. If you remove the tanks, there are people waiting who will put them to good use, and the weasel is much easier/enjoyable to drive without them.
  2. Looks like one of my surf shields. Still has the address label on it.
  3. I dont even remember what the seal looks like.
  4. Nice engine cart. If you would make it about 3-4 feet taller, you could work on it, and pull the oil pan comfortably.
  5. Rustoleum Winter grey is almost an exact match.
  6. I used a regular drill bit to drill the 2 sets of tracks I built. No problems with it. I used a 7/8” thick belt the full width. That way, only two rows of bolts are needed. I used elevator bolts throughout, but wouldn’t do it again. They are very expensive, and finding hard ones is nearly impossible. Many of them broke. On my next set, (if that ever happens) I will use regular grade 8 bolts, and hardened washers, and counter sink the holes in the rubber for the inside row. The outside row doesnt need to be countersunk.
  7. I acquired a generator. No: gdj480apg7006. 55 amp. Looks like its for a weasel. Also a fuel cap about the size of a weasel cap, but with the check valves.
  8. I mainly need something that looks right in the empty space there now. If the original works, which they usually do, fine. Im not against using a solid state regulator.
  9. Im in need of a regulator. It’s actually for my scout car, but it’s the same as for the weasel. Ive sold a couple to members here, and even gave a few away; but now cant find one. Thats the way it goes.
  10. The long pin will fit in this socket, but it does not seat, but rather sticks up several inches. The long pin does fit completely in the wall sockets of my HT.
  11. I put a 12’ pipe over the tubes on each side and pulled the tubes back straight. Never had a problem after that. With a driver/owner, we are careful and responsible not to hit anything that might bend the shafts. Who knows how many uncaring, reckless, kids drove these vehicles before we got them.
  12. Anyone know who the weasel belongs to thats on tracks and trade? Im interested in the weasel, but would never deal with ivo. It’s in Ohio. There is a weasel and Dukw at the same place.
  13. Interesting that your leg rests against that. My leg rests against the insulation above and in front of that. I would imagine that area to get hot as it is the heater duct. Seriously though, stuff something in it to block the flow of hot air.
  14. So, what was the cause of the lack of oil pressure? The dislodged seal at the oil pump outlet?
  15. Try Mcmaster Carr for the hinges. I made all my own for 2 weasels.
